As I sat drawing at the Lochan’s edge, looking up towards the Bealach and the summit of Beinn Dearg, all around me the ice crackled and creaked in the late afternoon sun.
In January and February 2025 after time spent in the mountains around Ullapool, I developed a series of paintings and other works exploring the theme of ice fields in the mountains of North West Scotland.
